SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ehsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan Day is the day of renewal of pledge to sacrifice even the last drop of blood to defend the motherland. He expressed these views while addressing the participants of a ceremony held in connection with Pakistan Day in Narowal the other day.

MPAs Khawaja Muhammad Waseem, Rana Abdul Manan, Ramesh Arora, PML-N District President Malik Tariq Awan and DCO Syed Najaf Iqbal were also present on the occasion.

The Federal Minister claimed that the PML-N was striving to make the country prosperous in line with the vision of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam.  He said that the Muslims of Indo-Pak sub-continent gave the unprecedented sacrifices for getting freedom from Indian yoke and finally Pakistan became into existence.  Ehsan Iqbal urged the nation to make pledge for sincerely following the principles of unity, faith and discipline as a guiding force to face all the challenges presently confronted by the country.

He said that the celebration Pakistan Day each year was an occasion to reiterate pledge and pay tribute to great leaders who withstood all adversities in their mission to secure a separate homeland for the Muslims of sub-continent.–Staff Reporter
