OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE- Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on Thursday called for an end to Go Zardari Go slogan being raised by the PML-N in its public rallies, and said that it may prove dangerous for democracy. The slogan may take the shape of Go Democracy Go, he feared while talking to media after addressing the launching ceremony of AG offices website. In an obvious reference to PML-N leadership, he said: Some people may tolerate dictatorship for long but cannot digest democracy and start conspiring against the political system. He said it was Oppositions right to hold political meetings, but a party in government need not show its strength through such gatherings. Earlier, addressing an inaugural ceremony of International Conference arranged by SAARC Surgical Care Society, the governor said that it was governments top priority to provide maximum health facilities to the people. He said such conferences provided opportunities to shrink distances among the people of SAARC countries, share their common goals and ideas to ensure a better life. He further said that the event will provide an opportunity to know each others health problems and chalk out strategies to solve them. Governor also applauded the papers which were presented in the conference and said that these were interesting, thought provoking and had clinical importance that will prove to be helpful for the participants in improving the surgical knowledge and skills. President of the SAARC Surgical Care Society, Professor Lamavansa, Prof. Amir Zaman, and Prof. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry also addressed the conference.
