ISLAMABAD (APP) - Saleem H Mandviwalla, State Minister and Chairman Board of Investment, has said that negotiations are going on with various companies for provision of comfortable and reliable transport and government is also fully encouraging investment in transport sector. Mandviwalla, who is currently visiting Seoul (South Korea), had a meeting with Shin Hoo, Senior Executive, Samsung C&T, in Seoul, says a message received here Thursday. Shin Hoo talking to Chairman BOI said that Samsung is a name associated with commitment and perseverance, known worldwide for their traditional quality and excellence of products. City and Inter-City LPG buses are designed and engineered according to the specification and requirements of the countries and Samsung is interested in starting LPG bus project in Karachi, he said. Mandviwalla recommended Samsung C&I to start LPG stations as country is facing the shortfall in the winter season. He further informed that SHV of Netherlands has already started working for the LPG stations in Pakistan. He apprised the Samsung team that government is ready to give the minimum revenue guarantee as requested by Samsung. The company has also the potential to invest in the High Speed passenger and cargo trains in Karachi.
