ISLAMABAD (Agencies) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Thursday, through a petition, pleaded the Supreme Court for putting Hussain Haqqanis name on Exit Control List (ECL) over the Memogate scandal. Nawaz on Wednesday had also filed a petition in the apex court making President Asif Ali Zardari, former ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani, ISI Chief Lieutenant General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir respondents in the case. Meanwhile, three Parliamentarians of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from Balochistan Thursday filed a joint petition in the Supreme Court on Memo scandal requesting the court to summon all the respondents in the petition to explain their position in the issue. The petitioners are members of the National Assembly Lt-General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch and Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan Nasir and a MPA from Balochistan Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri. The petition was drawn by Salahuddin Mengal Advocate and filed by MS Khattak advocate on record under Article-184 (3) of the Constitution. The petitioners prayed in their joint petition that all the respondents be summoned to appear before this court in person to explain the detestable, the despicable and the treacherous memorandum in question. In their prayer, they said The ones responsible and/or involved in initiating the process leading to the said memorandum, authoring the same, providing any assistance whatsoever in the process and the ones blessing or approving the said act, may graciously be identified. The culprits exhibiting grave disloyalty to the state and the people of Pakistan and who are found guilty of the crimes as aforesaid be brought to book. The petitioners also submitted some press clippings of Financial Times, clearance of memo and contents of the confidential 'Memorandum besides other details related to the issue.
