The police have booked an alleged impersonator along with his accomplice for swindling a truck drive out of cash here the other day. As per details, Muhammad Riaz, a driver, told the Fatehjang Police that he was coming back from Gadoon Industrial Estate in his truck (JZA-967). When he crossed Rawalpindi railway crossing two persons, sitting in a black car, signalled him to stop. He claimed that one of them introduced himself as a Major of Pakistan Army and asked him to show documents of the truck. He said that when he took out the documents from his purse, both of them forcefully snatched Rs134,000 from him. The driver told the police that he had now recognised both of them as Muhammad Javed, son of Muhammad Ashraf, a resident of Mithial and Razzaq, son of Bashir, a resident of Fatehjang. The police have registered a case against both the fraudsters.
