CHAKWAL - Central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaquat Baloch, said on Sunday that drone attacks were against the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan and the Parliament twice adopted resolution to stop these attacks but the government was reluctant to oblige the mandate of the Parliament.

Therefore, peaceful demonstrations against the drone attacks were the constitutional right of people of Pakistan. He was talking to the media at Bait-ul-Murshid while the Ameer of JUIS Pir Abdul Raheem Naqshbandi and Sahibzada Mehmood-ul-Hassan were also present on the occasion.

Liaquat Baloch demanded that the government must come forward to stop the NATO supplies. Responding to a question, Baloch was of the view that after the retirement of Chief Justice of Pakistan, there would be some minor effects on the working of judiciary but no significant change was expected.

Baloch said that Rawalpindi incident was a total failure of district administration and police as the security agencies failed to deliver.

Later on, Baloch also addressed the party workers at the party district office where he urged the workers to make preparations for the upcoming local bodies’ election.
