ISLAMABAD - State Bank were in firm grip against ZTBL, finishing the day two at 145-7 in 48 overs, in the Region's/Departments U-19 Three-Day Tournament 2013-14 Fifth Round Pool-B match played here at KRL Stadium Sunday. State Bank gained an overall lead of 199 runs with three-second innings still intact. Earlier, ZTBL resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 58-2 and were bundled out for 150. Sami made 58. Khalid Khalil and Ali Murtaza took 3 wickets each.

At Marghazar Ground, KRL were all set to enforce innings defeat against Port Qasim. After following on, Port Qasim finished the day 2 at 164-8 still needing 139 runs to avoid innings defeat. Naqi Raza took 3 for 52, Mudassar Riaz 2 for 37. Earlier, Port Qasim resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 1 without loss and were bundled out for a meager 40 runs in 17.1 overs.

Hafeez-ur-Rehman took 4 for 14, Mudassar Riaz 3 for 3 and Faizan Alam 2 for 18.  In a Pool C match, Islamabad Region were in trouble against Fata as they still require 1 run to save follow on. Islamabad finished the day at 130-8 wickets. Kifayat Ullah and Shadman Afridi grabbed 3 wickets each. Earlier, Fata resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 94-2 and were all out for 280. Sami Ullah made 97 while Mustafa Haneef also batted well for his 60. M Umair took 3-63.

In Pool-D match played at Mirpur Stadium, Rawalpindi were smelling victory against Bahawalpur, as after following on, Bahawalpur had scored 11-0. Bahawalpur were bowled out for 132 in first innings. Awais Iqbal took 6 for 54, while Aaqib Shah also chipped in with 2 for 26. Earlier, Rawalpindi resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 271-7 and were all out for 297. Nouman Akram took 6-107 while Sher Muhammad took 2-83.
