The PML-N organised Istehkam-e-Pakistan rallies here in different districts of Punjab to repose confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and express support for the government here on Monday.

According to details, in Sialkot city, thousands of PML-N activists belonging to the district’s all four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils participated in “Istehkam-e-Pakistan” main rally taken out in the city here on Monday.

Local elected representatives including MNA Sahibzada Syed Iftikharul Hassan Shah and MPAs - Mansha Ullah Butt, Ch Muhammad Ikram, Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Rana Abdul Sattar, Arshad Javaid Warraich and Rana Liaqat Ali jointly led the rally.

Addressing the rally, the PML-N lawmakers reposed confidence in the party leader and expressed complete solidarity with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. They strongly condemned the prevailing negative and politics of conflict by the PTI and PAT, saying that their negative politics was causing great financial and economic losses to the nation and the country.

They said that Sharif Brothers were the symbol of federation and democracy, adding that the masses elected them with huge mandate in 2013 general elections.

The massive rally began from PML-N Central Office on Paris Road Sialkot and ended at congested Allama Iqbal Chowk after passing through all main inter-city roads.

Hundreds of people standing on both sides of the city roads warmly welcomed the rally participants by showering rose petals on them.

Earlier, a big rally led by MNA Syed Iftikharul Hassan Shah, MPA Muhammad Asif Bajwa and PML-N Daska President Muhammad Afzal Mansha reached Sialkot from Daska to participate in the main Istehkam-e-Pakistan rally in Sialkot

In Sambrial, a rally to express support for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was taken out here which started from Press Club and reached Muslim League House Sialkot to participate in the main Istehkaam-e-Pakistan rally. The rally participated by a large number of people was led by MPA from PP-131 Chaudhry Arshad Javed Warraich. Ch Shamroz Elahi Ghumman, Sh Habibullah, Ch Waqar Ahmed Cheema, MNA Rana Shameem Ahmed, Mushtaq Butt and Dilawar Hussain Butt attended the rally.

The participants raised slogans in favour of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Ch Arshad Javed Warraich and Shamroz Ghumman termed PTI Chief Imran Khan and PAT Chief Tahirul Qadri agents of foreign power, saying that both the leaders were destabilising Pakistan to fulfil the agenda of their foreign masters. They declared that the nation had mandated the PML-n led by Nawaz Sharif to lift the country to new heights of prosperity and development. They pledged that all conspiracies against the democratic government would be foiled and a befitting response would be given to all anti-democracy powers.

They vowed that the entire nation was united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif to expose the reality behind Azadi march and Inqilab march.

In Bahawalpur, local PML-N leadership taken out a rally to show solidarity with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here.

State Minister for Education and Interior Affairs Mian Baleeghur Rehman, MNA Begum Parveen Masood Bhatti and Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Iqbal Channar led the rally which marched on all the city main roads.

A large number of number of public representatives, PML-N leaders, workers and office-bearers of different organizations took part in the rally.

Meanwhile, a prominent figure of Abbasi Family, Sahibzada Qamaruz Zaman Abbasi has appealed to all the political forces to resolve the current crisis amicably through negotiations for country’s sack as the current situation can help the enemies to damage the national integrity and solidarity.

He remarked that the last Crowned Amir of Bahawalpur, Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Khamis Abbasi had offered all resources of the former Bahawalpur State to Pakistan to make it a strong and progressive State and provided complete assistance for country’s development. He said that under the prevailing circumstances the tussle among politician was quite disheartening which could cause instability in the country.

Meanwhile, PML-N Hafizabad chapter planned a big rally in the city on Tuesday (today) which will start Ghora Chowk Pindi Bhattian Road Hafizabad and will parade all main thoroughfares of the city to express solidarity with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Army.

The ‘Istehkam-e-Pakistan’ rally which would be led by Minister of State for Health Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar and other office-bearers of PML-N and traders would parade the main thoroughfares of the city and would later proceed to Gujranwala in three thousand vehicles to join the big rally being organised in Gujranwala city on Tuesday, Saira Afzal Tarar said here.

While addressing the workers here on Monday, she said that the country was passing through critical juncture and it could not afford sit-in and the politics of confrontation.

She said that Army was rendering supreme sacrifices to eliminate terrorists but some vested interests were hell-bent on destabilising the country and ruining its economy. She called upon the patriotic elements to participate in the ‘Istehkam-e-Pakistan’ rally in large numbers to foil the evil designs of unpatriotic elements to derail the democracy and to destabilise the country.
