Chief of his own faction Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Mian Nawaz Sharif on Saturday claimed that Law Minister Babar Awan had been roaming with cash-filled briefcases...trying to create a group of lawyers against Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry". He further alleged that President Asif Zardari and former president Pervez Musharraf were on good terms which led to the safe exit that was provided to Musharraf. Addressing a public gathering in Sialkot, Nawaz said his nomination papers were rejected for the February 2008 general elections in order to thwart the formation of a PML-N government at the centre. He further said that the PML-N did not want to be in the federal cabinet with the PPP and that PML-N ministers were forced by President Zardari to take their oaths from Musharraf.
