ISLAMABAD Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N key leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday hinted at mid-term elections if majority of the legislators academic degrees are proved fake. Talking to media here at the Parliament House, he said that by-elections would not remain an option if a large number of lawmakers were disqualified over fake degrees. Nisar ruled out his partys support for any legislation that would save fake degree holders and said his party had already started verification of its MPs degrees. Answering a question, he said that despite the federal governments efforts, PML-N had refused to take back amendments in the Finance Bill. He was of the view that his party was playing a role of real opposition and alleged that the government was continuing with unlawful and unconstitutional acts.
