LAHORE - A 34-year-old man ended his life by slashing a broken glass across his neck at his house in Askari-10 on Thursday.

Usman, the father of a baby girl, took the extreme step after he exchanged harsh words with his wife, police sources said. The deceased was said to be a drug addict.

The family told the police the man exchanged harsh words with his partner over some domestic dispute and got infuriated. He picked up a glass, broke it, and then slashed it around the neck. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he expired later.

The police handed the body to the family without autopsy after fulfilling legal formalities. The police investigators were also told that the relations between the couple were not cordial as they used to argue over domestic issues.
