Islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started arrangements to hand over operational control of 38 water filtration plants set up in different areas of the Federal Capital to the Pakistan Water Research Council (PWRC).

A strategy is being devised to make all the filtration plants operational round the year and officials of the PWRC and the CDA are holding talks to reach a final agreement, an official of the civic body said here on Thursday.

Talking to this agency, he said that due to paucity of funds, the handing over plan of the filtration plants was delayed. He, however, said that the handing over plan will be completed within the 15 to 20 days.

According to the plan, the CDA will hand over the control of filtration plants to PWRC aimed at supplying clean drinking water to the residents of the different areas of the Federal Capital.
