GUJRANWALA - The bailiff appointed by a court recovered four children illegally detained in a cattle shed of a landlord at Khabeki here on Wednesday.

The action was taken on application of Razia, a resident of Aroop. She moved the sessions court and pleaded that her husband Asghar worked in the fields of Chaudhry Aslam against Rs200,000 as advance. While her husband these days got sick and was not able to work but the landlord took her four children including Nadeem (18), Perven (16), Sabir (12) and Babar (9) with him and locked them in a room of his cattle shed, she had said. Additional Sessions Judge Shahzada Masood appointed a bailiff which raided and recovered the children.

CRIMES: Dacoits and thieves took away cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables from the citizens in various incidents.

Three armed persons intercepted Karamat at main road Kamoke and snatched Rs25000 and two cell phones, in QilaDidar Singh armed men snatched Rs32000 and cell phone from Bashir, at Gakharmandi Noman was deprived of Rs17000, gold ring and three cell phones by robbers. At Ferozwala, bandits looted Rs22000, two cell phones from Naveed; in Wahndo, robbers took away Rs40000 and two cell phones from Mushtaq; in Ali PurChatha, armed men snatched Rs26000, gold chain and cell phone from Fayyaz.

In Sohdra, Ali Haider was deprived of Rs23000 and cell phone by armed men; in SabziMandi police station limits, dacoits looted Rs7000, motorcycle and cell phone from Pittras; and applied for motorcycles of Riaz, Rashid and Amir were stolen from different parts of the city
