LAHORE - A fifteen-year-old boy was crushed to death by a rashly-driven car on the Canal Road in Harbanspura.

Police yesterday said the driver along with the car managed to escape from the crime scene. The body was moved to the morgue. An eyewitness told the Police Response Unit that a boy was trying to cross the road when a speedy car ran over him. The victim, identified as Abubakar, was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced as “brought dead”.

The police have registered a case and are investigating.

FOUND DEAD: A 45-year-old watchman was found dead from a factory in Badami Bagh. Investigators identified the man as Muhammad Akbar, who was lying dead in his room adjacent to the factory building as cops reached there. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

Police said that there were no torture marks on the body parts of the watchman. But the police are investigating the death to ascertain the cause of death.
