WASHUK - Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies on Sunday jointly conducted a raid in Washuk district of Balochistan and killed two extremists while four were taken into custody.

FC spokesman said that the operation was launched on a tip off. Two militants were killed after the alleged terrorists opened fire at security officers.

The spokesman revealed that the miscreants were involved in heinous crimes and other acts of terrorism. However, forces also claimed to have confiscated huge cache of weapons from their possession.

The bodies of terrorists killed in encounter were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities while the nabbed extremists were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

Earlier, FC raided Pak-Afghan border area Chaghi and recovered weapons hidden underground. The seized weapons included 10 sub-machine guns (SMGs), 13 rocket-propelled grenade-7 (RPG) rockets and 40 boxes of 12.7mm ammunition.
