PESHAWAR - JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman said Sunday that rejoining the ruling coalition is possible only after the government accepts his partys demands. However, he did not mention the demands. While addressing a party workers convention here at Shahi Bagh, the JUI-F Amir said that the sitting government had damaged his partys confidence reposed in the rulers by withdrawing its hand of cooperation despite the fact that his party had fulfilled the sitting regimes all commitments. Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that on one hand the military operations were being declared successful but on the other military were not withdrawing from what the government called cleared areas. He said that the US did not want to resolve the Kashmir issue but was interested in war on western border of the country. He said that his party would never toe Americans agenda in the country claiming that the government was exactly following the US lines in attempting to impose the Reform General Sales Tax (RGST) on the masses. JUI-F provincial Amir Maulana Amanullah, Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Attaur Rahman and other JUI-F leaders also addressed the public gathering wherein the party announced to launch a political movement from Jan 9 in Karachi. It is IMF holding sway over the countrys defence and economy and the rulers were after yielding the country as a colony to the US, stated Maulana Fazlur Rehman adding that America wants to withdraw from Afghanistan but not from the region where Pakistan is an important country. The JUI-F leaders also pledged to oppose any amendments in blasphemy law or interference in religious institutions.
