President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned an emergency meeting of MPAs of Pakistan Peoples Party in Punjab on Friday to discuss the post-governor rule political situation in the province, a presidential spokesman said Thursday. Farhatullah Baber informed media that the meeting would be held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday evening and will discuss ways to calm down political strife in the province and next governmental setup in Punjab. Meanwhile, President Zardari has said that demonstrations are a part of democracy but loss of human lives and damage of public and private properties could not be tolerated. Addressing PPP's central executive committee's (CEC) meeting held at President House on Thursday, President said that PPP believes in the politics of reconciliation. He said that the present situation of the country could not bear latent hostilities, urging all the political parties to prefer national interests in their policies.
