ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s leader Murad Saeed today said that government announced farmers package failed to provide relief to the farmers community of the country.

According to sources, Murad said that agriculture of the country was at the edge of collapse and farmers package worth Rs 2.50 billion has proved fruitless for farmers, as it could not brought any change in their lives.

“Majority of the population lives in the rural areas of the country and agriculture is the bread and butter for them,” he added and maintained that Pakistan could face the nutrition if agriculture, the important sector of country’s economy was not focused.

He further said that people linked with agriculture were facing severe problems and their miseries adding day by day as they are not receiving any subsidy.

PTI’s leader said that Pakistan has to face major loss in production of cotton crop and PM farmers’ package has not been implemented and proposed the agriculture emergency for the resolution of farmers’ grievances.
