LAHORE - The Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr Sabiha Mansoor visited the admission counters of F.A/ FSc where the prospectus along with admission forms would be available on Friday.

Reportedly, the VC directed the staff to facilitate students and parents. She said the LCWU is offering admissions in seven disciplines including FSc in Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering, I.C.S in Physics, Statistics and Economics, I.Com and General Science. The VC told the Nation the last date to submit admission form is August 5 and on that day test for English Literature and Fine Arts disciplines will also be held.

The VC said LCWU would offer admission to every student standing on merit, adding the first merit list would be displayed on August 7.

“The LCWU has allocated millions of rupees for scholarships and financial assistance,” she added. Dr Sabiha announced LCWU provides students an opportunity to gain free membership to UK’s Warwick University.

LCWU Director Saima Asghar told the UK university’s IGGY programme is an online network that would extend students academically and help them developing skills.

“IGGY content is created by leading academics, primarily from Warwick, with significant teacher input,” she said.  The students can obtain for bronze, silver or gold awards from Warwick University.

LCWU Intermediate College Principal Mahrukh Bokhari said the seats had been reserved for foreign students, FATA, other provinces, Hafiz, disabled and sports. The university will offer scholarship to BISE position holders, she added.
