LAHORE - Lahore Capital City Police (CCPO) Muhammad Amin Wains has said that admin officers will have to play their key role for fully implementing the National Action Plan.

Addressing a weekly meeting held to review the performance of admin officers at Alhamra Hall (No 3) on Friday, the Lahore police chief urged the officers to help create awareness about the importance of NAP among elites of the area, social workers, and ordinary citizens. “Police and citizens will have to play their active role in the war against terrorism and support sensitive agencies to root out the menace of terrorism from the country,” he stressed.

Senior journalist Zia Shahid, Chief Admin Officer Muhammad Umar Virk and SP Civil Lines Haroon Joyia were also present on the occasion. Briefing the participants about the performance of admin officers, Muhammad Umar Virk said that with the appointment of admin officers, only a few complaints about misbehavior with citizens in police stations were received.

During last week, admin officers of Sherakot, Data Darbar, Gulberg, Shadbagh, Defence-B, Hadyara and other police stations behaved politely with the citizens and did good work by handing over of four boys and girls to their parents after they ran away from the homes, he informed.
