LAHORE - Two people were killed in road mishaps in different parts of the provincial metropolis on Friday, police said.

Afzal Javed, said to be a Superintendent in Wapda, riding on a motorcycle was on his way home when a rashly-driven car bumped into his two-wheeler in Muslim Town police precincts. The motorcyclist died on the spot while the driver along with the vehicle fled the crime scene. The police are investigating.

In another incident, an unidentified man was crushed to death by recklessly driven van on Multan Road. The man was crossing the road when a speedy van ran over him, resulting in his on-the-spot death. The body was moved to morgue for autopsy. Investigation is in process.
