LAHORE - The Government College University is going to celebrate the 60 years Pak-China Friendship on Monday (tomorrow) in collaboration with the Government of Punjab. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr Liu Jian will be the chief guest while provincial ministers, parliamentarians and government officials would also be present at the celebration. The university will also organise a special sitting on the topic of Pak-China Friendship Past, Present & Future which will be addressed by the Chinese Ambassador, Pak-China Bureau CEO Zafarud Din Mahmood, Punjab Food Minister Ch Ghafoor, GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ikarmul Haq and international relations experts including Prof Hassan Askari and Prof Anwar Mahmood Khan. The Chinese Ambassador will also meet the GCU toppers and faculty members. It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of Pakistan has announced celebrating the year 2011 as the year of friendship between Pakistan and China and directed the autonomous institutions to celebrate the same. The University campus will also be decorated on the theme of Pak-China Friendship.
