ISLAMABAD The Department of History Quaid-i-Azam University will be hosting the 23rd International History Conference under the title The State of Historiography on South Asia Since 1971. The event is scheduled for October 28- 31, 2011. The venue of the conference will be the Quaid-i-Azam University campus. The 23rd International History Conference aspires to showcase the recent trends of national and international researches in the discipline of History of South Asia. Scholars intending to participate in the conference may contact the conference secretary (Dr Razia Sultana, Chairperson Department of History, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad) with their abstracts exceeding not 300 words along with their recent resume before Monday, May 29, 2011. All the abstracts will be evaluated by a committee of scholars in consultation with the Pakistan Historical Society. The selected abstracts will be announced by Wednesday, June, 15, 2011. Full papers (exceeding not more than 15-20 pages) printed double spaced on A4 paper should reach the organising committee by Sunday, 31st July, 2011.
