Afghan President Hamid Karzai offered a small concession over a ban on private security firms which strained relations with Washington, saying on Wednesday the deadline for disbandment could be extended by two months. A statement issued by Karzai's office said a committee had been formed that will prepare a timetable for disbandment to be submitted to Karzai's office by Nov. 15. Firms would then have a maximum 90 days before disbandment, the statement said.
