LAHORE - Political somersault of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has compelled the old Leaguers to think that how could a person hailing from an ideological Muslim League family display the impression of closeness to PPP, said Senator Naeem Chattha. In a Press statement issued here on Tuesday, Chattha expressed deep sorrow over the meeting between Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Dr Babar Awan. He said that PML and PPP were traditional political rivals owing to their sharp ideological differences. He said that Chaudhrys possess a special background based on ideological and religious lines regarding their differences with the PPP and it seems that Chaudhrys had taken a hasty step regarding their advances with the PPP and the results of the meeting would not only damage the image of Muslim League but also the political credibility of the Chaudhrys. Chattha said that current situation required all heads of the Muslim Leagues to play their due role for unifying all the factions. of Leagues in order to steer the country out of the existing crises. He also said that the greatest responsibility regarding unification of the Leagues lies on PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif that he, keeping in view the current crises in the country, give top priority to the task of unification of the Leagues.
