LAHORE State Bank stunned Lahore Ravi by 10 wickets in the opening round match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy here at the Lahore City Cricket Association ground on Tuesday. Put into bat, Lahore Ravi amassed 268 runs in their first innings with Ashraf Ali coming up with major contribution of 80 runs and the second highest score was of 33 that came in extras. Apart from Kashir Saddiq, all the other bowlers used by State Bank, Muhammad Rameez, Muhammad Naveed, Nayyar Abbas, Bilawal Bhatti and Motashim Ali shared two wickets each. In reply, two State Bank batsmen scored centuries in 425 for eight. The score also had two half centuries. Motashim Ali made 117 and Rameez gathered 107 while Naveed Yasin and Gulraiz Sadaf made 58 and 61 runs respectively. In their second innings, Lahore could make 162 and were victims of Nayyar Abbas (four for 33), Kashif Siddique (three for 18) and Rameez (two for 30). Fahadul Haq scored 43 and Ashraf Ai with 40 were the highest scorers in the Lahore line up. State Bank batsmen in their second inning had to chase a score of just six runs for win. Faisal Ather and Bilawal Bhatti completed the score for State Bank in 1.4 overs.
