Lasbela, a district of Baluchistan, suffers greatly from a lack of hospitals. There are no quality private or government hospitals. The patients are forced to bear tremendous expenses and go to Karachi for their treatment. Some patients lose their lives before they even reach Karachi. Pregnant women face a similar problem, as no medical facilities are provided to them. The neglect of the government has become dangerous for the lives of the people of Lasbela. The government of Baluchistan and health authorities should look into this issue and build hospitals in the region.
