QUETTA - Law enforcement agencies raided a residence of former MNA Sardar Israr Tareen in Dukki tehsil of Loralai district on Saturday and recovered heavy cache of arms and ammunition. Official sources said the raid in Killi old Dukki, some 2 kilometres from Dukki town, was conducted jointly by the Frontier Corps, Levies force and police under supervision of Loralai Deputy Commissioner Sohail ur Rehman Baloch and FC Commandant Colonel Syed Imran Shah. They said law enforcement agencies during search seized untold number of Kalashnikov rifles, 3 rocket launchers, 38 rocket shells, 28 detonators, 3 LMGs, 2 G3 rifles, two 303 short guns and thousands of rounds. They said four people, including Advocate Sardar Iqbal Tareen and former Union Nazim Adam Khan Tareen, were also detained during the raid and they were being interrogated. Following the raid, people hailing from Tareen tribe blocked Quetta-Dukki highway by placing barricades and torching tyres in protest against the raid on the house of Sardar Israr Tareen and chanted slogans against administration and FC. They also pelted vehicles with stones while closure of the highway caused great incontinences to the motorists.
