OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Services Hospitals management has assigned duties of Additional Medical Superintendents, Deputy Medical Superintendents, doctors, nurses and other staff to maintain routine work at the healthcare centre during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. As the OPD will be closed from August 31 to September 4, the staff will serve at emergency and other wards. According to Medical Superintendent Services Hospital, Dr Muhammad Javed, the off-days for sanitary inspectors and security staff of all the three shifts have been cancelled and AMS, Administration and Nursing Superintendent would not be authorised to allow additional leave or off-day in favour of any staffer or nurse. He directed the security officer to be vigilant and ensure that no security guard will leave his position until the arrival of next shift. Administrative doctors will also monitor the performance of all the deputed staff ensuring the provision of diagnostic facilities and medicines to patients at emergency ward during their duty hours. Dr Javed directed the social welfare officers to fulfil the needs of the poor and deserving patients during Eid holidays. He also directed the sanitation staff to maintain cleanliness in the hospital, residential colony and hostels during these days adding that, sanitary inspector / shift incharge will be held responsible in case of negligence. He also directed the concerned staff to keep generator functional, ambulances standby and blood bank staff alert during holidays. He warned that strict action will be taken against the absentees and other violators.
