LAHORE The Lollywood is all set to serve the feast to the filmgoers with the release of five new movies on Eidul Fitr. The movies include three Urdu and two Punjabi, TheNation learnt on Saturday. According to film circles, two Hollywood productions, Captain America and Conan the Barbarian, are also releasing in the Citys cinemas on the festivity. Another Bollywood movie, Bodyguard, is also expected to release in cinemas like Cinestar, Gulistan, DHA and Cinegold etc. The five Pakistani movies Love Men Gum, Bhai Log, Jugni, Society Girl, and Shah Murad will be exhibited in about 17 cinemas of the provincial metropolis. Almost all the leading cinemas of the cultural hub of the country including Prince, Metropole, Shabistan, Capital, Odeon, Sozoworld, Sozogold, DHA, PAF, Cinestar, Cinegold Behria Town and others will showcase the Pakistani productions on Eid. Much awaited Reema Khans movie Love Men Gum will be exhibited in Prince Cinema while DHA, Cinestar and Sozogold will also showcased one or two show. Qaisar Sana Ullah, secretary general Film Exhibitor Association told this scribe that if the Indian film Bodyguard would be released on Eid, the cinemas located in posh areas would showcase it and Love Men Gum and Bhai Log would be given only one show. Love Men Gum, earlier entitled Kitni Haseen Hai Zindagi, is directed and produced by Reema Khan and it stars Moammar Rana, Reema Khan, Nabeel Khan, and Araida in the leading roles. Reema Khan, the director and producer of the film, claims that Love Mein Ghum is the most expensive film to be made in Lollywood. Love Mein Ghums music is by M Arshad, Najat Ali, Ravi Bal, Waqar Ali and Huntar and the lyrics are penned by Khawaja Parvaiz, Ahmad Aqeel Ruby and Marz. The singers including Ali Zafar and Abrarul Haq and Shazia Manzoor had sung for the movie. The other Urdu film, Bhai Log, which is being exhibited in Shabistan Cinema, is directed by Syed Faisal Bokhari, and produced by Ch Ijaz Kamran, dialogues and screenplay By M Pervaiz Kaleem. The cast includes Moammar Rana, Saima Noor, Nadeem, Javed Sheikh and Noor in lead roles. The music is composed by M Arshad. The plot involves Karachis underworld life. Syed Noors film Jugni is being showcased in Metropole, is about a village love story. The cast also includes Moammar Rana, singer Arif Lohar, Shaan, and Saima. Shah Murad, a Punjabi movie which is produced by Ch Kamran, will be exhibited in Capital Cinema while Society Girl, directed by Daood Butt, will be showcased in Odeon Cinema. It may be mentioned here that the Lollywood circles were demanding not to showcase Bollywood productions on Eid so the Pakistani movies could gain maximum business.
