QUETTA The relatives of missing person Abdul Ghaffar Langov on Tuesday staged a sit-in infornt of Balochistan High Court (BHC) to protest against the non-recovery of Langov and warned that if he was not recovered they would commit self-immolation. Abdul Ghaffar Langov was allegedly picked up by government agencies from a hospital in Karachi on December 2009. Participants of demonstration were carrying placards and banners bearing different demands and chanting slogans demanding United Nations and humanitarian organisations for playing their role for recovery of Baloch missing persons including Abdul Ghaffar Langov. They alleged that government agencies had introduced a new trend of violence by killing missing persons and later throwing their bodies in deserted areas. 'If United Nations and other humanitarian organisations did not play their due role it is feared that Abdul Ghaffar Longav and other missing persons would also be killed in same style, they said. They demanded that if Langov and other Balochistan missing persons were involved in any illegal activity then they should be produced before the court of law and should be given chance to prove their innocence. They warned that if Ghaffar Langov was not recovered within 15 days they would lay siege of Governors House and would not hesitate to commit self-immolation. Meanwhile, according to a Press release, issued by Baloch Bar Association (BBA), court proceedings were boycotted in Quetta and other towns of Balochistan including Kalat, Jalawan, Dera Allahyar and Kalat on the appeal of BBA against brutal killing of Baloch youth including Najeeb Langov, Faiz Bangulzai, Farooq Mengal and Ishfaq Mengal allegedly by government agencies.
