LAHORE Akhtar Mohiuddin-coached Quetta Zorawar will face Lahore Lajpaals in the second semi-final of second edition of Super Football League (SFL) at Karachis Peoples Sports Complex, Lyari Town on Wednesday. The winner will face League leaders Karachi Energy or holders Islamabad United in the July 31 final at same venue. It will be third meeting between the two in the 23-match competition. Quetta dominated the first leg on June 12 with emphatic 3-0 win while second leg ended 2-2. Both the teams managed identical record in the event with 9 goals and 12 points. However, Quetta conceded six goals as compared to Lahores seven to finish second in the League. By virtue of being second and third both the teams earned semi-final clash. Both the teams achieved three wins and as many draws in the show. Having Shahzad Anwar, Asghar Khan Anjum and Nadeem Rehman in their coaching staff, Lahore, after unimpressive start, beat Peshawar Tribe FC 3-0, 1-0 and Islamabad United 2-0 while their matches against Islamabad United 0-0, Quetta Zorawar 2-2 and Karachi Energy 1-1 were ended in draw. They suffered 0-3 and 0-1 defeats at the hands of Quetta and Karachi Energy respectively. Their nine goals came from Ghulam Abbas 3, Asim Mansoor 3, Asif Sohna, Muhammad Haji and Asif Mehmood. On the other hands, Quetta opened the proceeding in imposing style and won their three games against Lahore 3-0 , Karachi 2-1 and Tribe FC 1-0. Their drawn ties were against Lahore 2-2, Islamabad 0-0 and Tribe FC 1-1 while they went down to Karachi and Islamabad by the barest of margin (0-1). PIAs playmaker Nasr Ullah Khan 3, Jadeed Khan 2, Kalim Ullah Khan 2, Mehmood Ali, Imran Hashmi hit the back of the net during their nine goals in the 51-day show.
