LAHORE The Pakistan Cycling Federation as a part of Independence Day celebration is holding National Road Cycle Race on August 7 from Karachi to Hyderabad. According to Idris Haider Khawaja, secretary PCF, the race will be held in collaboration with the Sindh Cycling Association. He said that the race is being held early keeping in mind the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan in which event of such a nature is not possible. All the affiliated units of PCF including Army, Railways, Wapda, Sui Southern Gas Company, all the four provinces and FATA will be participating in this event. He said that all the necessary arrangements for holding this event in a befitting manner are being finalized. The participating teams will reach Karachi on August 6 and managers meeting will take place the same evening at 07.00 PM. The Race will start from Mazar-e-Quaid Karachi at 09.00 AM on 7th August, 2010 and finish on G.T. Road in front of PSO Petrol Pump at Hyderabad. Cash prizes will be distributed to the winners at the Lunch.
