LAHORE The PML-N has in principle decided to establish as well as organise the party in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). An announcement in this regard was made Tuesday after a meeting of former AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider with PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind. Senior PML-N leaders Senator Raja Zafarul Haq and Senator Pervez Rashid were also present at the meeting. Both the leaders decided to launch PML-N in AJK after the decision is formally approved by the organising committee of the party. Raja Farooq Haider, on the occasion, also apprised Nawaz Sharif of the political scenario in AJK, as well as the no-confidence motion against him and other matters concerning his removal from the office. While talking to Farooq Haider, Nawaz deplored the governments interference in the AJK politics and said the PML-N continues to uphold the stand that the elected government in AJK has the authority to run the political and administrative affairs without interference from the Government of Pakistan. Nawaz lamented over the involvement of PPP-led central government in the AJK affairs as well as the upheavals there. This sort of attitude is neither rendering any service to the people of AJK nor sending a good message across the Line of Control, he added.
