QUETTA - Five people, including three Hindu traders and a woman were kidnapped from different parts of Balochistan, on Friday. 

According to Levies Force, unidentified armed men intercepted a passenger van at Jeeva cross of Khuzdar on National Highway, some 310 kilometers southeast of Quetta and later looted the passengers. “The armed men disembarked three Hindu inmates from the van at gun-point and bundled all three Hindus into their vehicle and fled towards undisclosed location”.

Sources said that the van was heading towards Kalat from Khuzdar.

Three Hindus were identified as Danesh Kumar, Santosh Kumar and Bagwan Das.

Levies Force personnel rushed to the site and started a search in the area.

In another incident, unidentified people kidnapped a girl identified as Samina 27, from Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district and shifted her to unknown location. However, motive behind her kidnapping is yet to be ascertained.  Moreover, unknown gunmen kidnapped a man Haji Juma Khan at gunpoint from Killi Ghulam Muhammad of Pishin district.  The local administrations have started efforts to recover the kidnapped people and conducting raids.  However, no arrest has been made in this connection.
