KARACHI – Eunuch among four persons were killed in separate incidents of violence in different parts of the metropolis here on Saturday.

Police found tortured body of a eunuch from Qayyumabad area, Korangi within the limits of Korangi Industrial Area police station.

The police official said that the deceased Samuel Maseeh, 50, son of Siraj Maseeh, was tortured to death by unidentified culprits and escaped. The deceased was living alone in the house and police suspected that his accomplices killed him over a petty issue. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead at Sector 5C-1, North Karachi within the jurisdiction of Ajmair Nagri police station. SHO Chaudhry Afzaal said that the victim Sheikh Kamran, 34, son of Nusrat Hussain, was going somewhere when unidentified pillion riders intercepted him and fired three bullets from close range. He died on the spot.

His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medicolegal formalities.

In another incident, a man was shot dead at Qaimkhani Mohallah, Baldia within the limits of Mochko police station.

The official said that the deceased Irshad alias Tooti Khan, son of Khan Bahadur, was shot dead by unidentified armed riders and escaped. The deceased was the resident of Qaimkhani Mohallah. Police suspected personal enmity behind the killing. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.

Meanwhile, a gunny bag body was found from Lyari Naddi in Pak Colony police precincts. Police said that the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.

According to media reports, some unidentified armed men opened fire in Dhawaraji area and shot dead a man for not paying extortion money. Residents and traders of the area staged protest after the incident.

Two men died during cross firing between rival groups in Dhobi Ghat area of Garden while some unknown people gunned down two men in Manghopir.

In New Karachi area, some unidentified persons opened fire and shot dead a woman. The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Suria.

Meanwhile, two dead bodies were found from Soldier Bazar and New Karachi areas. Two people were injured in firing in Gardi and PIB Colony. Asad Laghari, 22, was injured over resistance to a robbery bid in L-6 Market, Gulshan-e-Hadeed.

Meanwhile, two robbers were killed in exchange of fire with police while their accomplice fled the scene here on Friday.

According to police, three robbers, riding motorcycle, were fleeing after snatching Rs15,000 from a contractor near Chowrangi Hospital in Landhi area. When they came across the police, they started firing and tried to flee but upon retaliation two robbers were killed on the spot while their third accomplice managed to escape.
