MULTAN - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi declared on Friday that he would quit politics if his name surfaced in a list presented by Asad Durrani before the Supreme Court containing the names of politicians who took money from ISI.

"Curse on those who took money from ISI and who do politics with this money. The ISI cannot dare take my name and if my name surfaces I'll resign," he added while addressing a news conference here at his residence. He said that the conscience of the people had got awakened and there was a visible shift in the system. "We'll change the system of Pakistan under the leadership of Imran Khan," he added.

He said that he always raised voice in favour of accountability and NAB kept him imprisoned for years but failed to prove any allegation. He urged upon the Supreme Court of Pakistan to make Gen (r) Durrani's list public so that the faces of those could be unmasked before the masses who had been doing politics on the money of ISI.

He said that the country needed such a law that all could be held accountable across the board. He regretted that the existing assembly did not promulgate any accountability law because majority of the people sitting inside patronized the looters. He said that when Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif were out of country many mainstream leaders of the party like Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rasheed and Ishaq Dar also went abroad while he fought alone.

To a query, he said that there were no chances of any electoral alliance between PTI and PML-N. He anticipated that the PML-N would not have its candidates in Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, Multan, Jhang, Bahawalpur and adjoining areas in coming elections. He claimed that the revolution was knocking at the door as the masses wanted change. He was of the opinion that the country needed immediate polls otherwise the security and solidarity of the country would be in jeopardy. He claimed that Asif Ali Zardari was calling third power.

He said that he always confronted Zardari but instead of supporting him, the PML-N leadership backed Zardari. He claimed that Mian Nawaz Sharif did not make any alliance with PML-Q because of the fear that Q-League would form government in Punjab.

Referring to drone attacks, he announced that the PTI would organize a rally against these attacks in North Waziristan in September which would be covered by American and international media. He said that earlier the PTI had decided to stage a demonstration outside UNO office on July 1 but now the rally would be held. He said that the PTI would raise voice against drone attacks on international level as 80 per cent Americans were also opposed to this barbarian act.

About the genocide of Muslims in Burma, he asked the government of Pakistan to raise voice for them in UNO so that they could get passport facility. He added that the Burmese Muslims were denied all rights.

Referring to NA-151 by poll, he said that the PTI had no candidate in the by election. "If there had been our candidate, we both (I and Shah Mahmood) would have run his campaign and this difference of four thousand votes would have been compensated," he added.
