In the smaller cities infrastructure for building new houses does not exist. Growing over congestion, in the older parts of such cities has forced people to create residential plots on self-help basis in city suburbs, unfortunately WAPDA had already encroached upon such areas with their HT distribution-lines, instead of erecting them along the road as is the proper way and then adamantly refusing to relocate them. In addition to this serious problem, the land surrounding these newly built houses continues to be used for agricultural activity and no care is taken by the adjacent landowner to spare the foundations of the newly built house from water logging. The result is that cracks have start appearing in the newly constructed house destroying the new family’s life-savings.

The Chief Minister of Punjab is requested to order the DCO Muzaffargarh to prevent agriculture land owners in the city suburbs from destroying other people’s houses by flooding them with their irrigation water, also, it is requested that the area extending up to 10 kilometers in all directions, from district courts in all district headquarters cities should be declared protected residential area.
