Rawalpindi - City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi on Friday snubbed and issued show cause notice to assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Police Station Kallar Syedan for not entertaining the complainants as per law. The CPO issued show cause notice to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Safeer on public complaints during an open court, held in compliance with orders of the CM Punjab at TMA Office Kallar Syedan.

A large number of residents of Kallar Syedan attended the open court and tabled their complaints against police injustice before CPO, who issued orders to concerned police officers to solve public problems. A female citizen Qamraz Akhter appeared before CPO and lodged complaint that her ex-daughter in law took away her grand son along with her. Taking action, CPO asked SHO to probe the matter and submit a report within seven days. Another complainant Chaudhry Mushtaq Hussain told CPO that Muhammad Iftikhar received Rs 1, 34,000 from him which were not returned. CPO directed SHO to look into matter and provide the complainant with justice.

Abdul Rehman, a resident of Kallar Syedan, lodged complaint that his motorcycle was stolen on which Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi ordered SHO to file a case and recover the motorcycle. Muhammad Siddique appeared before CPO and submitted an application that Nisar Tanvir had grabbed his land. On this, CPO issued instructions to SHO to take legal action against the land grabber.

Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, while talking to The Nation, said that the crime rate was under control in Kallar Syedan as no victim of heinous crime appeared before him during the open katcheri. He said that he issued show cause notice to ASI/Moherer as he was not attending the public complaints as per law and humiliated people in police station.
