ISLAMABAD - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ICT) on Friday issued schedule for delimitation of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) ahead of local bodies (LB) polls in the federal capital.

According to the notification issued here, the ECP has tasked District Election Commissioner as Delimitation Officer for collection of relevant materials, i.e. maps, population data and number of union councils in Islamabad. According to the schedule, the relevant officers would collect data by March 30 and prepare preliminary list of constituencies by delimitation Officers from April 1 to April 30. Publication of preliminary lists of constituencies for inviting representations and objections and filing of representations and objections before the Delimitation Authorities could be made from May 01 to May 15, 2015.

The dates for disposal of representations and objections by Delimitation Authorities have been set for May 16 to May 22. Last date for communication of decisions of Delimitation Authorities to Delimitation Officers will be May 25 and final notification of delimitation of constituencies by the Delimitation Officers will be issued on May 30, 2015.
