ISLAMABAD - Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has assured Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan that the government will not make any amendment in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreed with his party to probe election rigging.

According to a private TV channel, Ishaq Dar maintained that not a single coma or full-stop has been amended in the MoU agreed with PTI. Suggesting Imran Khan not to give ear to any rumours, the finance minister said he has been in contact with PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tareen. Earlier talking to INP news agency, Ishaq Dar said a presidential ordinance for the formation of judicial commission would be issued in the next few days.

Dar said that before the promulgation of the ordinance, another meeting would be held between the government and PTI leaders to give final shape to the document after which it would be given to the Ministry of Law and Justice for the preparation of such a document which could not be challenged in the court.

He expressed satisfaction that finally the dialogue between the govt and the PTI had succeeded over the formation of the judicial commission.  He said that except for one, other parties have welcomed the agreement.

He said once the draft of the ordinance is ready, it would be sent to the prime minister who would advise the president for its promulgation.
