ISLAMABAD : Gap between power supply and demand is widening day by day as electricity shortfall reached to 4600 megawatt across the country due to increasing temperature. The temperature has started to rise in most parts of the country. Duration of power cuts in urban areas has reached eight hours while rural areas are suffering eleven hours of power load shedding. According to NTDC sources, electricity shortfall across Pakistan has reached 4600 MW.

Power supply stands at 9500 MW against the demand of 14100 MW.
