PESHAWAR - Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Monday said that implementation of the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas reforms package would lead to initiating a new era of development and progress in the region.

The governor said this while talking to a delegation of journalists, hailing from South Waziristan, who called on him at the Governor’s House, Peshawar here on Monday.

The delegation was included Wana Union of Journalists Chairman Adam Khan, Nur Ali, Ahmad Noor, Raza Dautani and Mujib-ur-Rehman.

Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, while responding to various suggestions given by the journalists’ delegation, said that journalism is a noble profession and the journalists while highlighting the difficulties being faced by the people, in fact extending a helping hand to the government to resolve the grievances promptly.

Indeed, he added, the role of journalists not only in reforming the society but also guiding the people on the path to their wellbeing and prosperity is well noted.

Meanwhile, the members of the delegation thanked the governor for his interest in implementing the reforms process and ensuring accelerated pace of development in Fata as well as providing them the opportunity of meeting him.
