LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Zakat & Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that 24 new vocational training institutes (VTI) would be established in 11 flood-affected districts of the province. He said that 8,800 youth of these areas would be imparted technical education on modern lines in these institutes. In a briefing at Punjab Vocational Training Institute here on Wednesday, he told that these institutes would be established in Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Mianwali, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha and Khushab. Kamran further said that establishment of new VTIs in these areas would not only result in poverty alleviation but also create new jobs and business opportunities in these areas. Chairman PVTC Faisal Ejaz Khan, Managing Director Sajid Naseer Khan and other officers concerned were also present on the occasion.
