Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan can soon achieve peace in the region by working jointly on issues related to terrorism, a private TV reported. While giving an interview to a British news channel, Rehman Malik said that Talibans are now crushed in Pakistan and al Qaeda along with other foreign militants are making an escape route. The government has an access to the data of people present in areas like Swat and Bonair, whereas the residents of such areas inform the government about the presence of any such suspected persons and about their hideouts where they take refuge or store ammunition, he added.
