LAHORE - Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has urged the need for fully implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) in all the provinces.

In a statement issued from party head-office yesterday, the PAT chief maintained the questions on the sincerity would not have been raised, had the National Action Plan was implemented in all four provinces.

“Those who are playing politics on the blood of the martyrs can never be sincere with the country,” said Dr Qadri, adding that over 80 percent of the NAP had not been touched and such condition was a real hurdle to achieve successes in fight against terrorism.

He further said that the nation had suffered one injury after another and thought that the eyes of the rulers would open and they would understand what was right and wrong. But, he added, when terrorists were themselves in power how could things improve.

He said corruption and terrorism were interlinked and the development could not be achieved unless elimination of “economic terrorism.” According to Dr Qadri, PAT had long ago indicated that the rulers will never implement the NAP as “they are themselves strong supporters of terrorists”.
