ISLAMABAD - PTI Chairman Imran Khan yesterday said Pakistan Peoples Party wanted to ‘protect its crooks’ on the pretext of protest over alleged political victimisation.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was referring to speech of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who, while addressing his supporters in Larkana yesterday, claimed that ruling PML-N was using National Action Plan (NAP) to victimise political opponents.

“PPP’s mantra of pol(itical) victimisation is to protect crooks in Sindh. Crooks protect each other and & cry victimisation in face of accountability,” Khan said on Twitter through a verified account. He, however, demanded across the board accountability. He also demanded launching of the process of accountability in Punjab, in his social media statement.

Imran Khan said that in PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province the process of accountability is continuing without any hurdle. He claimed that the government of his party avoiding to intervene in the job of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the province “However, accountability must be even handed & carried out in Punjab too. We welcome it in KP. All are welcome to help PTI nab crooks in KP,” he further said.
