islamabad - The Islamabad High Court will take up in the current week the petition of son of a former judge of Gilgit-Baltistan Anti-Terrorism Court as he has approached the court seeking recovery of his real brother Saad Jadoon and his friend Saifullah alias Saifi who were allegedly taken into custody by the security agencies.

A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi will conduct the hearing of the petition moved by Umar Hayat Jadoon son of former judge Jamshed Khan Jadoon through his counsel Umar Hayat Sandhu Advocate and cited secretary interior, secretary defence, director general ISI, director general MI, director general Intelligence Bureau and inspector general Islamabad police as respondents.

Jadoon stated in the petition that he is son to the deceased GB Judge Jamshed Khan Jadoon and a few days back some armed personals carrying wirelesses in their hands picked up his brother Saad Jadoon and friend to his brother Saifullah alias Saifi from G-9/4, Islamabad.

The petitioner added that he searched for both the missing men everywhere but could not find them and he even informed the local police but to no avail.

The petitioner claimed in the petition that he believes his brother was picked up by the security agencies as he had been receiving threats for the past few months.

He argued that his brother and all other family members were never involved in any suspicious activity and there has been no case registered against his brother anywhere in the country.

Therefore, the petitioner prayed to the court to direct the authorities to produce his brother before the court and they may be released from the custody.
