LAKKI MARWAT - A two-month-old girl died allegedly due the negligence of a raiding policy party in Baistkhel area of the district on Sunday.

According to reports poring here from the area, a joint police party of Tajori police station and Serai Gambila police post raided the house of an alleged bike thief Nabiullah in Kotka Shaikh Azeem village in Baistkhel union council.

The accused Nabiullah was wanted to police in a bike theft case and was not present in his home when police reached there.

During house search the cops reportedly dumped quilts on a charpai on which a two month infant Seemab was sleeping.

The baby buried under quilts and died due to suffocation. The incident of female baby’s death spread like a jungle fire in the locality and local political elite also reached there.

Relatives of the deceased infant and area people along with local political elders went to Serai Gambila police post to register an FIR against responsible police officials. 

Later a case was registered against SHO Tajori Naseebur Rehman and in charge Serai Gambila police post ASI Samiullah in daily diary and investigation has been started.
