ISLAMABAD: Oozing gutters, gushing sewages and dilapidated roads have become a nuisance for residents of Sector I-10.

The residents including Nazir Iqbal, Syed Nadir Ali, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Jan, Sardar Hamza and Sajjad Ali said that the sector has turned into plethora of the issues but the civic agency has turned a deaf ear to the issues despite repeated complaints. They said that dump of garbage and trash and encroachments and illegal constructions have also become rampant in the sector but the local authorities have failed to take these issues into account.

The residents said that the citizens were also facing acute short of water and electricity. The filtration plants were not functioning and they purchase water tanker on a daily basis. They said that the sewage lines have been choked and oozing gutters have become a commonplace, making it difficult for residents to venture out.

When contacted, a CDA official claimed that a new package was on the cards for the upkeep and maintenance of several sectors.
